In these Terms and Conditions the following words have the following meanings:

All illustrations contained on the Website are for illustrative purposes only and are intended merely to give a general description and/or overview of the Items described therein and shall not form part of the Contract. While AFD aims to ensure that descriptions, photographic reproductions and Item specifications on the Website are correct, there may be slight variations due to the photographic and reproduction process, the internet software or computer system used and the handcrafted nature of some Items. AFD shall not be liable in any way for any such variation or the consequences thereof.
By ordering Items using the Website, the Purchaser agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Pricing and Payment
1.1 Please note that any price included on the order form or any prices shown on the website do not include delivery and installation costs (which can be quoted).
The Net Balance referred to in the said Schedule shall be paid on the invoice date. Times of payment shall be the essence of the contract and payment shall be by way of cash or cheque. Without prejudice to any other rights it may have, AFD is entitled to charge interest at 5% above the then current base rate of Lloyds Bank PLC on overdue payments after 28 days from the date of the invoice.
1.2 Ownership of the Items shall remain solely with AFD until such time as the Purchaser has paid to AFD the agreed price in full and cleared funds for all the Items under the Contract and any other contract between the parties.
1.3 Prices are inclusive of VAT and are approximate for each design shown and could vary depending on current materials and labour costs. If the designs evolve in scope and/or detail, or if further work is required beyond the original description – we would need to re-price these changes.
1.4 AFD reserves the right to adjust the order price payable by the amount of an increase or decrease in costs after the price is quoted. The purchaser shall enter into a new order with AFD and the last order shall be deemed as the original and binding order between the purchaser and AFD.
1.5 A confirmation email will be sent to the Purchaser when an Order is placed and again when such Order has been dispatched.
1.6 If the Purchaser is shopping from outside the UK, the Purchaser`s credit card company will convert the transaction to the Purchaser`s own local currency. Payment of any additional charges levied as a result of such currency conversions shall be the Purchaser's sole responsibility. Any customs or import duties levied once the Item reaches the Purchaser`s destination country will be the Purchaser's responsibility as AFD has no control over these charges and cannot predict them.
2. Changing or cancelling your order
Materials for the product are purchased shortly after the order is placed, therefore the purchaser's attention must be drawn to the following:-
2.1 If the purchaser cancels an order AFD must be notified within 7 days of the original order date. If your order has been started by us or if materials have been purchased specifically for your project, all material and labour expenses (at current hourly rates) and any other costs incurred will be deducted from any possible refund (at AFD's discretion).
2.2 Following the placing of an order, if the purchaser decides to make changes to specifications, materials or details, such changes will be subject to extra charges or a reduction in the materials and labour costs involved.
3. Approvals, delays, and on-site limitations
3.1 Customers must carefully check and approve any written descriptions, drawings or finished samples if provided with the product they are purchasing. All products will be made to these specifications. A charge will be made for all additional project drawings required to finalize a design.
3.2 All production times quoted are close approximations of the actual production time required for any given design to be completed. Delays in production time may be caused by slow approval of project drawings or finished samples by a customer, unforeseen complications with availability of materials, design limitations, etc. AFD can not be held responsible for delays beyond its control.
4.Product liability
4.1 AFD assumes no responsibility once the product leaves the workshop.
4.2 AFD cannot be held responsible for potential problems with products that may occur in the client's home or place of business and is not responsible for any injury, harm or possible death that might occur in these places with the proper or improper use of these products.
4.3 AFD will not be held responsible for wear and tear, expansion and contraction of woods and joinery due to exposure to sunlight, climatic changes, limitation of finish materials in any given situation, choice of materials or design chosen by the client, clients change of heart or any other liability whatsoever resulting from use of the products.
4.4 As all products are custom made to order, handcrafted and one of a kind, no guarantee is expressed or implied.
5. Delivery
5.1 Ownership of Items shall remain solely with AFD until such time as the Purchaser has paid to AFD the agreed price in full and cleared funds for all the Items under the Contract and any other contract between the parties.
5.2 Overseas, mainland and non-mainland UK postage/carriage is charged at cost. If an Item is to be sent overseas, the Purchaser should contact AFD on +44 (0)1407 730569 or email tomos_w@hotmail.com for a quotation and information re. Courier Services.
5.3 AFD will not be liable for delays in the delivery caused by distributors or any other third party.
5.4 If your furniture arrives damaged in any way, speak directly with those delivering the furniture on the best way to file a claim, as they would be directly responsible.
5.5 The Purchaser is responsible for the payment of all costs relating to the delivery, packaging and other applicable taxes and levies in relation to the Items.
5.6 The Purchaser shall notify AFD of any shortage of or damage to Items delivered within 24 hours of delivery or collection and such notification shall be confirmed in writing by the Purchaser within 7 days of delivery.
6.Returning your order
6.1 As all of our products are either custom built to the purchaser’s specification or are custom made to order, all sales are final and a return will NOT be possible.
6.2 If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you must notify AFD within 24hours of receipt of your furniture. We will do everything possible and within reason to help resolve the problem with any of the items that we have made.
7. Showcasing your designs
7.1 Anglesey Furniture Design retain the right to showcase your design on its website as an example of products that have been made within their Portfolio. We may also offer for sale to other clients new versions of these designs. All designs and design drawings remain the property of AFD.
8. Sales via the Website
8.1 No permission to copy, reproduce, modify or download the Website or any part of such site is given and in particular nothing on such sites may be reproduced for use in any publication, or distributed for any purpose without the prior written consent of AFD.
8.2 Any information found on the Website is intended for guidance only and the items and prices described in it are subject to change without notice. No representation or warranty is given as to the completeness or accuracy of any information on the Website or that such information is current.
